Product Description

We love a nontraditional take on an old-school product. Meet the Airmar 300WX-IP67 WeatherStation, the perfect addition for your surveying system setup.

Most wind sensors have moving parts, may not fare well in a marine environment, and measure only wind speed and direction. They often communicate with proprietary methods to dedicated receivers or vendor software.

The Airmar 300WX-IP67 WeatherStation switches things up by combining GNSS positioning, a stabilized 3-axis compass, and ultrasonic wind sensing, so it can subtract out the platform’s changing heading and report true wind direction, even while on the move.

Mount it to a BlueBoat, a buoy, or any other autonomous surface platform, and obtain data directly from the cable in the BlueOS extension or via the Airmar CAST app via Bluetooth.

It Doesn't Have to Be Complicated

The wind measurement is ultrasonic, so there are no cups to spin, no vanes to seize up, nothing to replace after a season of use. Combined with an IP67-rated housing, the WeatherStation is built for the kind of unattended, exposed environment that offshore platforms, buoys, commercial workboats, and uncrewed surface vehicles actually need.

And it’s more than just wind! Along with wind speed and direction, the WeatherStation also reports air temperature, barometric pressure, GNSS position, and the pitch, roll, and rate-of-turn of whatever it’s mounted to. Together, this gives you a full picture of the conditions wherever it’s mounted.

On the BlueBoat, the WeatherStation mounts straight onto the BlueBoat Antenna and Accessory Mast, no extra hardware required. A WetLink Penetrator on the end of the 3 m cable makes connecting to any system quick and easy.
