Hello friends! This year Blue Robotics had a blast celebrating Manufacturing Day for the very first time! So, what exactly IS Manufacturing Day?!
Hosted annually on the first Friday of October, MFG Day is an initiative of The Manufacturing Institute and is manufacturing’s biggest annual opportunity to inspire the next generation. The event is celebrated both in person and online through a series of focused, company-held events promoting manufacturing to students, parents, and educators.
This year, Blue Robotics joined in on the festivities for the first time, inviting local STEM students and community members to learn more about this niche, however booming, industry of marine robotics. They explored several stations throughout our warehouse featuring our thrusters, sensors, and BlueROV2. We also had a demo of our BlueROV2 in the courtyard pool where students got a chance to take it for a spin and even use our Newton Gripper to grab a few cones off the pool floor!
It is always a pleasure hosting students at Blue Robotics and we appreciate all of the schools that participated including Loyola Marymount ASME Club, Da Vinci Communications School, and California Academy of Mathematics and Science! We cannot wait to level up this event next October!
