The Hatch Lid is the heart of the BlueBoat, holding the electronics in the hulls. It’s available with electronics pre-installed for those who want a ready-to-run configuration, and also with no electronics, for those who want to add their own electronics to the BlueBoat. Requires the Hatch Base and Latches for a complete assembly.

SKU: BLUEBOAT-STARBOARD-HATCH-LID-VP
HS Code: 8906.90.0090

Product Description

This is a component of the BlueBoat. We recommend choosing components from the BlueBoat Components page to make sure you get everything you need.

The Starboard Hatch Lid Assembly is available with or without the BlueBoat electronics installed. It requires a Hatch Base and Latches for a complete assembly.

The Starboard Hatch Lid carries the brains of the BlueBoat. The lid assembly has a tray that holds all of the control electronics and the lid has penetrations used for the on/off switch, antenna, and NavLight. A clamshell cover protects the electronics and makes them less vulnerable to damage when removed from the vehicle.

With everything mounted to the Hatch Lid, it’s possible to quickly remove the electronics and separate them from the boat for service or modification.

The version with electronics includes the Navigator Autopilot with Raspberry Pi 4 computer, GPS/compass, 2.4 Ghz wifi radio, Power Switch, fuse board, and Basic ESC 500, all connected to wiring harnesses configured to connect to the rest of the vehicle.

The version without electronics is ideal for anyone who wants to use a modified or alternate control system with the BlueBoat Hull. We think the default Navigator and BlueOS control system is pretty awesome, but know that everyone has different needs!
