the collab
Beautify Earth — a movement connecting the world with street art for a more civic, social, and creative society — teamed up with us at Blue Robotics to create Blue Earth, a collaborative initiative bringing underwater worlds to the surface through public art. Together, we’re creating street art activations that connect people with nature, their communities, and the stories of our oceans.
It all started with our fascination with kelp. We’ve long been captivated by its beauty and its impact — not only is it vital to marine ecosystems, but growing it also has regenerative benefits for the planet. That passion led us to launch Grow Line, our initiative that bridges marine technology and sustainable aquaculture to help kelp farming flourish.
Outside of the farms, we asked ourselves: what better way to showcase the magic and importance of kelp than to paint it across buildings, walls, and public spaces?!
But what started with kelp has grown into something bigger.

Blue Earth is now a platform that celebrates ocean technology and the people behind it — the explorers, researchers, and innovators using tools like the BlueROV2 to explore shipwrecks, monitor marine life, and support coral restoration. From deep-sea science to marine archaeology, from cutting-edge ocean tech to mapping fragile marine habitats, we’re turning powerful underwater missions into public murals and interactive art that inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
Each piece of art is not only visually appealing — it supports real-world action. Local organizations involved in kelp conservation, reforestation, and marine education receive 5% of donated funds. Because art isn’t just about looking good, it’s about doing good.
So whether you’re diving deep, flying an ROV, planting kelp, or just strolling past a wall mural — you’re now part of the movement to explore, discover, and protect our oceans.
the goals
With the hope of inspiring communities to connect with nature and each other, we work with local artists to transform cities into kelp forests with artwork that reflects their beauty and vibrant ecosystems as we recognize nothing thrives alone.
The artwork will consist of both small human-scale street art along with large, full-coverage murals. All painted forests will be placed on a map to explore both digitally and in person.

get involved!
donate your wall
We are looking for wall partners interested in supporting local artists and kelp forests by donating their wall for art.
Kelp will be the main focus of the art but may also contain ecosystem interactions with humans, animals, technology, or other organisms.
Donated walls become part of Beautify Earth’s community wall trust which is a collection of public walls dedicated to the benefit of the community and creative expression.
sponsor a painted kelp forest
This work would not be possible without business, city, NGO, and individual sponsors who take the initiative to invest in public art and marine ecosystems. Sponsoring a painted kelp forest supports the conservation and reforestation of local kelp forests through both financial and community support.
Blue Earth’s street art initiatives drive community awareness and engagement by creating art that weaves naturally into the city landscape and emphasizes kelp’s beauty and vital role in ecosystems and culture.

become a local partner
Local partners and their work in communities is key to connecting Blue Earth’s global activations to local initiatives. We believe connecting with and supporting our natural environment starts in local communities which motivates Blue Earth’s approach to supporting local community groups and initiatives.
We aim to bring awareness and monetary support to local partners through public art activations and community programming that connects art and the environment. If your organization works with local communities, reforestation, or conservation and you’re interested in bringing your work to life through public art please get in touch!
