This tether reel is designed for the Outland Technology Power Supply (OTPS) high-power tether. It keeps the tether organized and tangle-free inside an SKB hard case with built-in pull handle and wheels for convenient transport and storage. The removable crank handle and slip ring make tether deployment and retrieval easy.

It’s available in two models: the RL-500 for 125 meter OTPS tether and the RL-750 for 250 meter OTPS tether. Tether not included!

Product Description

Keep your Outland Technology Power Supply high-power tether protected and tangle-free with the RL-500 and RL-750 tether reels. Designed specifically for the Outland Technology Power Supply system, each reel features a waterproof, high-power slip ring rated to handle the high voltages used by the OTPS system.

The reels are built into SKB iSeries hard cases with an integrated pull handle and wheels for easy transport. An integrated extension cable with a Binder 696 connector is pre-installed and ready to connect directly to the OTPS topside unit for quick setup. A removable crank handle is used for manual operation and stows inside the case for storage. The reels are compact and portable, but can hold a lot of tether:

Quick Start

To load the OTPS tether on the reel:

1. Connect the tether to the internal connector in the center of the spool.

2. Starting on the right side of the spool, crank the handle away from you to wind the tether onto the spool. Maintain light, consistent tension on the tether as it is wound.

3. Guide the tether onto the spool by hand to form tight, even loops. Wind one complete layer at a time and do not crossover between wraps.
