The Lithium-ion Battery (14.8V, 15.6Ah) is a high capacity custom battery pack made from 18650 lithium-ion cells designed for use in the BlueROV2, and fits perfectly inside a 3″ Watertight Enclosure! This new white version uses Molicel P26A cells and has slightly lower capacity than the original black version.

Product Description

The Lithium-ion Battery (14.8V, 15.6Ah) is a high-capacity custom battery pack made from high-quality 18650 lithium-ion cells designed for use in the BlueROV2, and fits perfectly inside a 3″ Watertight Enclosure. This 4S (14.8V) battery has a nominal capacity of 15.6Ah, plenty for 3-4 hours of moderate use on the BlueROV2. The lithium-ion cells the battery is comprised of have excellent performance characteristics, as well as a high tolerance for accidental mishandling. The battery is CE (Conformité Européenne) approved, ROHS compliant, and UN38.3 certified. Certificates can be provided upon request.

This new version of the battery (with white wrapper), uses Molicel P26A cells due to availability issues of the cells used in our original battery (with black wrapper). This battery has a different capacity than the black battery and should never be connected in parallel with the black battery!

The especially high capacity of this battery means that it is subject to more stringent shipping regulations than our other products. In addition to a hazardous goods shipping surcharge, we are also only able to ship this battery to a small number of countries:

  • Canada
  • India – Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana ONLY
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • New Zealand
  • Singapore
  • United States of America (excluding Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico)

Safety

Lithium-ion batteries are dangerous when not used properly. Improper operation and maintenance can also severely shorten battery lifespan. Please read and understand all the information in the Blue Robotics Lithium-ion Battery Guide to ensure you are using Blue Robotics batteries safely and getting the best performance out of your batteries.

  • Only use battery chargers designed specifically for lithium-ion/polymer batteries.
  • Do not charge a battery above its maximum voltage. This will lead to battery explosion.
  • Do not discharge the battery below its minimum voltage. This kills the battery.
  • Do not exceed the maximum charge or discharge rate. This will damage the battery.
  • Do not get the batteries wet. A wet battery may short or will eventually corrode and fail.
  • Do not puncture, crush, cut, or disassemble the batteries.
  • Do not burn or expose batteries to temperatures above 50°C (122°F).
