Blue Tech Hub Workshop

19 - 20 March 2026

Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center

717 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Blue Robotics · Virginia Wesleyan University

Join us in Virginia Beach where we are gathering educators, aquaculture operators, public safety professionals, researchers, and recreational stakeholders to explore the concept of a local “Blue Tech Hub.”

Blue Tech Hubs have the potential to be marine technology libraries. Like a library, these hubs would provide a shared space, network, and resource pool that enables people across the Blue Economy to access marine technology, learn skills in marine technology, share information and collaborate.

During this workshop we will provide hands-on experience with Blue Robotics technology and explore:

  • Where marine technology intersects with your work
  • What capabilities would meaningfully improve your operations, understanding or participation within the blue economy
  • What barriers prevent adoption or access today
  • What kind of training and support would be required
  • Whether a shared access model would be useful in this region
  • And More!

We hope to see you there!
